Having gathered an ever-blossoming community of resourceful designers in various cities, the launch of Berlin’s very own Alternative Fashion Week will support innovation, whilst nurturing the BAFW vision of sustainable fashion.
The Berlin Alternative Fashion Week ethos is fostered through various objectives all of which have a strong communal undertone. Showcasing artists and raising awareness around environmental activism, the weeklong program connects and encourages trendsetters to acquire and maintain a voice within Berlin’s creative industries of art, music & design.
BAFW also aims to raise funds in order to maintain ethical manufacturing and production methods in developing countries, providing a market place where designers can showcase their work on international scale. From the 1st to 5th October the likes of Eugenia Lejos, ALLES Berlin, Lady Gonzalez, Leo Carlton, Jylle Navaroo, Tata Christiane, Tzuji London and Maartje Dijkstra will be gracing the Berlin Alternative Fashion Week platform.
